As a school we are always looking to develop our children and young people, spiritually, morally, culturally and socially.
We have recently taken part in our very first Build-A-Banner Project. The project involved learning about various issues that surround us as a community. The finished products are fantastic. We now have some beautiful banners which will form part of our Coppice School Interactive Tour for visitors and for children and young people who are new to our school.
Look out for our banners and QR readers around school.
We are pleased to announce that school is now a member of The Citizenship Foundation. The foundation has a website which you and your child can access and explore things that may help you to explain complex issues such as voting, global issues and many other areas of life that are sometimes hard to explain.
We are really proud to be part of this foundation and the teachers have access to many resources to help our children and young people understand sometimes difficult subjects that affect us each and every day.

Each week will now be rewarding class groups with our new coloured hand prints to hang from our Coppice Trees situated between our upper school and lower school building. Each week in assembly classes will receive a special hand print if they can show how they have developed spiritually, morally, culturally and socially. We will discuss and celebrate these achievements in our special Friday Assembly.
We are keen to celebrate and learn about other people’s cultures. Our next celebration day will be on Friday 1st July 2016 and will focus on Polish Culture. This will be organised by our very own Polish speaking teacher Anna Randall. We will have lot of fun activities throughout the day and we hope to raise our understanding of other cultures.
