Our staff team:
To support all children and young people to hold their rightful place in society, equipped with the knowledge to shape their own futures, skills to lead an enriched and healthy life and voices to make a positive contribution in the world.
We believe in a broad and balanced 'no limits' curriculum that develops and nurtures life-long learning, builds interests, is meaningful and imaginative and promotes togetherness in the school and wider community. It is happy-centred; driven by confidence, positive relationships, support, coping skills and achievement and success.
Through projects and themed sessions; pupils will be focusing on their social and interaction skills, becoming exposed to working together, sharing resources and developing those key social skills that support patience, tolerance and emotional management.
English sessions will concentrate on responding to adults, communication and sound recognition. In turn, this links to future growth in speaking and listening goals.
Mathematics activities will focus on counting, place value, shape and grouping.
Additional sessions of PE, swimming, Forest School and RHE (Relationships and Health Education) offer additional motor movement and environmental factors to build confidence in new experiences and surroundings.
We look forward to an inventive and explorative term together!
