Meet the Team

Nicola Baxter

Hello Everyone

My name is Nicola Baxter and I am the Family Support Worker here at Coppice School.  My role is to provide support advice and information to families within our school community.

Here are a few of the things we can help with:

  • Early help referrals / assessments
  • Referrals to and liaising with other services
  • Support with form filling; DLA etc
  • Support in meetings.
  • Help with your concerns at home, e.g., dietary, and sleep issues
  • Arrange information sessions & training for parents
  • Signpost to events & services in our local area
  • Guidance with career and personal development and access to training and workshops in school

At Coppice we listen and appreciate parent issues and offer suggestions and advice for individuals and families. We also sign post to other services available within

I am also here as someone to talk to if you should need it!

Advice and support is confidential although concerns relating to the safeguarding of children will always be dealt with in accordance with the school's Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy.  I may not have all the answers, but hopefully I can help you to work out how to find them.

I am available for informal chats most mornings, however if it is a more sensitive matter you would like to discuss you can call the school on 01302 844883 or contact me on my mobile - 07776663114 to make an appointment to come and see me.

Tracey Senior

Hello Everyone

My name is Tracey Senior and I am the Pathways and Careers Lead at Coppice School, I am also the Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead.

My role is to inform you about our transition planning process, a process that aims to bring together a student and those individuals directly involved in helping the student to prepare for Life After Coppice.

I’m sure you will agree that the process of transition is more difficult for our young people and requires unique strategies to enable each student to achieve the maximum possible independence in working, living and participating in a community as adults.

We want you to feel empowered, confident and knowledgeable about opportunities after your child leaves Coppice School.

I’ll be in touch at important transition points but always available in between.
