J3

Welcome to J3 Class

Our staff team:

Who we are from left to right; Kristian, Bex and Debbie

In J3 Class we love to….
  • Be as independent as possible, we practice problem solving every day! This includes making choices what equipment and materials we need for a task and how to find them, sharing them out and then putting everything away. We also take turns to be a Teacher’s Helper and most of us can complete the duties without any help!

  • Use the Internet for learning; we know how to use Word and PPTs and access educational websites to complete games linked to our Maths, English and Theme focus.

  • Research, decide and carry out Enterprise projects. So far, we offered “Sweet Treats from J3” and Christmas Enterprise. There are many more to come this year as we are earning money to go to a special trip at the end of the year.

  • Take part in role plays, making videos and have fun.

Our topics this year are;

Autumn Term – Animal Antics

Spring Term - Heroes & Helpers

Summer Term - Rockets & Robots

We have been so busy! In the first half term we focussed on recognising living, non-living and never alive. We looked and life processes and even tried to predict what they were for our made-up animals. We have been learning about animal adaptations to different habitats. We learnt about the climate change and the impact on the environment.

In the second half term we looked at identifying various animals and describing the groups they belong to. We learnt about fish, amphibians, reptiles, birds and mammals. We even saw a python and a bearded dragon! Some of us were very brave to stroke Norberta! In Geography we had a go at learning how to look after the environment and made some videos to encourage everyone to do the same.

In our class we love to read and do it every morning. Reading is incorporated into most of the lessons and sometimes we choose books at the end of the day.
J3 class in unique and special because we learn how to face challenges and look for the ways to solve them. We are amazing at helping each other and continue to improve our social skills. We are incredible at sharing ideas with each other and we love following routines.

Our shared school vision
